Acoustic Guitar and Piano Music

Scarypoolparty’s song Out Loud on American Idol on March 6, 2019.  It was released for the first time on Youtube on September 14, 2018.  It was the first song most of America heard from Scarypoolparty, then only known as Alejandro Aranda.  He has said of Out Loud that it was about how he didn’t tell the truth as a younger person and that it took him time to speak the truth.  He has also said about the song that it was the first song that he felt “he had something”.  This song began and ended American Idol.  It was the last song he did on Idol and the audience was singing it back to him.  He plays this song in almost every single live he does.  It was remastered and released on Exit Form on November 22, 2019.  Most recently he played it on the American Lung Association’s Act for Impact with Queen Latifa and many other celebrities on Sunday, September 27, 2020.

The Darkness was released as a clip on Instagram in 2019.  It was later performed in several streamed performances.  Scarypoolparty does this song often in concert.  He said that he purposely wrote the song without an ending because he wanted to play it in the moment.

The song was officially released as a video on March 4, 2021.  The orchestra version of the video was released on July 24, 2021, and featured the Orchid Quartet.

The song Blesser was published on YouTube on March 15, 2016 (so he was 22 years old).  His comment on the video was “Piano is out of tune…so sorry!!!”

He played Blesser for the Top 5 on American Idol, which aired on May 12, 2019.  It was his hero tribute to his musical mentor, Twin Shadow.  It aired last on the show.  He advanced to the Finale on May 19th.

Is not played in concert as it is a physically exhausting song according to Alejandro. And to date has not been played live except on American Idol.

The song 10 Years was originally released on Mar 17, 2016.  Has 500,000 views on YouTube.  It was re-released on December 6, 2018.  The Live Performance was released on April 23, 2020.

He also performed 10 Years during Hollywood Week on American Idol.  He advanced to Showcase Round at Aulani in Hawaii.  On the finale on May 19, 2021, he performed 10 Years with an Orchestra.  It was due to an Instagram post from Stevie Nicks (from her diary), where she said she had a vision that he would perform with “orchestra’s and alone”.  She cried as did the rest of us.  And incidentally, this was my favorite Idol outfit as well.

The song Fading Away was originally released on November 2, 2018.  It was recorded in Nashville, TN.  It was co-written with Keller Moore, who also collaborated on Return2Sender.

It was released as an acoustic video on October 29, 2019.

This song is not played live, although he does release clips of the song often on Instagram.  It is not clear why it is not played live.  Fans theorize that it is because of the rights of the song are not totally his.  It is a definite fan favorite.

The song Poison was originally released on Youtube on November 23, 2018.  The video and single were released on August 13, 2021.  It is the 2nd track on the Act of Forgiveness which was released on August 27, 2021.

It was performed on American Idol on May 5th, 2019.  It was performed eighth on the show and he was safe.  It was Woodstock week, which he did a rendition of White Rabbit.  Katy Perry said it was the best she ever heard him sing on the show.  Luke Bryan said, “I hope America truly understands how hard it is to play the guitar and sing the way you do”.  Lionel Ritchie said that Alejandro playing his own songs was “everything”.

Falling Down was originally released on Instagram in 2019.  It was officially released on August 27, 2021 as the third track of The Act of Forgiveness.
